Sixty-three short stories and poems were published in the anthology, Never the Same Again: Life Service and Friendship in Liberia. Five of the authors have videoed their experiences and writings and I am honored to share the first one with you. Sit back and allow John to transport you from his hometown in Pennsylvania to his town in Liberia where he served as a Peace Corps volunteer from 1981 to 84. His words and message are so powerful…a poem to read again and again.

Friends of Liberia sponsored this book and all proceeds will benefit humanitarian programs in Liberia. To learn more about the book, click on this LINK. This video is so wonderful. I spent 2 years on the Navajo reservation and it too changed my life forever. I love the philosophy expressed here.

The imagery portrayed by John Miller in his poem Peace Corp Man is amazing. His words took me to the time he spent doing what he could to help improve things for the people he worked with and helped and the lifestyle they had. Well done!

Hello Andrew, thank you for your reply. Many Americans living in Liberia struggled with the simplicity of life in that beautiful country, but after a time we began to appreciate it as John portrayed so beautifully in his poem. John has another powerful poem in the anthology and he and the other authors are honored to share our experiences with our readers.
