Congratulations on being selected into the elite group of Semi-Finalists for the Journey Awards! You and your book are truly deserving of the honor. Since reading your beautifully written book and getting to know you, I’m learning that there are quite a few Peace Corps Volunteers in my expanding circle of friends. Your memoir gave me insight and appreciation into that path of service to others. Your straight forward talk about your family and your growth as a woman provides an even greater understanding of why you chose the Peace Corps.
